BAR GEMELS: Return of the Peeps

The Barony of Terra Pomaria invites you to its annual Bar Gemels Tourney, held this year at beautiful Camp Dakota in Scott Mills, OR. Site opens at noon on Friday, and closes at noon on Sunday.

Pre-registration will happen for those who need power for medical needs only; please contact the autocrat. We have use of all of the camp sites, including 11 RV/trailer hookups; however, the yurts must be rented directly from the site manager (and there is the possibility that one or more will house non-SCAdians this weekend, so please be respectful and courteous).
Activities for the weekend [watch this space for schedule changes – subject to possible archery championship tourney change and timing of the court of the Prince and Princess of the Summits]:
- Archery Championship tourney – 9:00 AM
- Heavy tourney – 12:00 Noon
- Morning baronial court – 10-10:30 AM
- Rapier tourney – directly after court
- Youth tourney – 2:00 PM
- Bar wench smackdown – 4:00 PM
- Evening baronial court – 5:30-7 PM
- Peeps Subtlety Contest – all day Saturday
- Bag Raffle – all day Saturday
The Baronial Inn will offer the following meals in the $3-$5 price range:
Friday dinner:
choice of 3 soups in bread bowls (chicken, veggie and another choice) – 5-8 PM
Saturday breakfast:
Griddled ham slices, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy and pancakes – 8-11 AM
Saturday lunch:
choice of two: deli-style sandwich, soup, or salad bar – 12:noon – 2:00 PM
Saturday dinner:
chicken on fettuccine, mixed vegetables in parsley butter sauce – 5-7 PM
Sunday brunch:
Leftovers – 8-11 AM
Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and fruit available at all meals.
Peeps Subtlety Contest:
First prize, authentic 9th century Norse woven copper wire bracelet. Second and third place prizes will be awarded (also medieval artifacts).
There will be several merchants offering wares on site.

Camp Dakota, 1843 Crooked Finger Road, Scott Mills, OR 97375. Site fees: $15 for adults, $10 children; $10 day trip adult, $8 day trip children. (+ NMS where applicable)
Directions to Site:
From I-5 take Woodburn exit #271 and head east on HWY 214 for about 3 miles. At the Hwy 99 intersection continue straight on Hwy 211 for over 7 miles.*PLEASE NOTE*, mileage on this portion is different from the Crier! From Hwy 211 turn right onto Kropf Rd. Stay right at “Y” in the road. At intersection with Hwy 213 continue straight on S Nowlens Bridge Rd for about 2.2 miles. Turn right into Scotts Mills at “T” in road, then left onto Crooked Finger Rd. Watch for Camp Dakota sign on the right.
