Site opens at 10 am for merchants and at 12 pm for general populace on Friday, September 4th and closes at 3 pm on Monday, September 7.

This beautiful site is nestled in the heart of the fertile Willamette Valley with more than 1,600 acres of woodlands interspersed with wetlands, rolling meadows and working farmland. Just eight miles north of Salem and only minutes from I-5, the park’s location makes it an ideal site.

Due to the layout of the park, space to unload may become congested. In this case, we may have to delay entry at gate. Please unload quickly and move your car to the parking area.

Directions to Site

From the north or south, take I-5 to exit 263 (Brooks).

Turn west onto Brooklake Rd NE.

Go approximately 2 miles and turn right at Wheatland Rd N.

Go approximately 2.5 miles. The park will be on the left.

Site Fees

Site Fees are as follows (Make checks payable to 'Barony of Terra Pomaria, SCA Inc.').

Note: There is a family price cap of $45. Family cap does not include non-member surcharge. "Family" does not include SCA households or roommates - you must be related mundanely. Commonlaw and same sex spouses are considered related. No more than two adults in a family group can qualify for the family cap price. All others of that family must be related minor-aged children.

Adult event fee (age 18+) $15 per person
Youth event fee (age 12 - 17) $10 per person
Child event fee (age 5 - 11) $7 per person
Day trip adult $10 per person
Day trip youth or child $5 per person
Claiming family cap (does not include NMS) $45 for family
Non-member surcharge (non-SCA members aged 18+) $3 per person
Merchant booth fee $1 per frontage foot
Horse day fee $10 per horse
Horse weekend fee $20 per horse

Please remember to include the appropriate waivers, a photocopy of your membership card and your check with your registration!

Note: pre-registration will help lessen your time at gate. Also if you plan to bring an RV, the form allows you to specify the amount of space needed for your RV.

Commemorative site tokens, created by Master Ian Cnully for a $5 donation to the Kingdom travel fund, will be available at gate or volunteer point.

Site Rules and Restrictions

Your attendance at Crown implies full understanding and acceptance of these rules

  • Vehicles are not allowed on the grass, other than on the 20-foot wide grass roads we will create on site. Important: Do not drive off of the marked roads! Parking for loading and unloading is limited to 2 hours (other than the designated handicapped parking).
  • The site is wet but with one restriction: no alcohol is permitted in any of the permanent structures.
  • The site is pet friendly. However, the site is close to wilderness areas. Cougars and other animals have been sighted. Pets are to remain confined or leashed at all times. And please clean up after them.
  • There are no RV hookups and generator use is limited to the hours of 8 – 10 a.m. and 3 – 5 p.m., to ensure minimum disruption to attendees.
  • All campers must leave a 20’ buffer by paved paths, next to the road and by the restroom. Land grab is first come, first served (Risk Style) with reserved space only for Royals. Risk Style: once onsite each camper can save up to 4 camps surrounding his camp, each ‘camp’ considered to be 20 X 20 foot area. Land grab saved space reverts to free space after 8 p.m. Friday.
  • The ground is uneven. Please be prepared if you have ankle, knee or walking difficulties.
  • No horses are allowed on the lawn area of the filbert grove (except for the single horse in the Riderless Horse Ceremony), but there are Equestrian areas including the tournament arena, warm up corral and trails for travel around the park.
  • Smoking is prohibited outside of your personal camp.
  • Quiet hours begin at 11:00pm.
  • Recycling stations are provided at a few locations around the site. Exact locations will be posted at gate. Please use them to dispose of your returnable cans and bottles.
  • There are very few water faucets available, please bring your own water.
  • Dumpsters will be provided at the exit. Please make sure to dispose of all of your garbage appropriately.

Fire Safety Rules

  • No open flames allowed inside tents.
  • No tiki torches close enough to fall on canvas if knocked over.
  • No open flames may be left burning unattended.
  • All fires must be in braziers, or other elevated fire pits, at least 12 inches off the ground.
  • Fires must be smaller than 2 feet in height and 3 feet in diameter.
  • All camps with fires must have, visible or within easy reach, a fire extinguisher or enough water, sand, or other material to extinguish the fire.
